SC Rot-Weiß Oberhausen (Oberhausen Football Club Rot-Weiß)
The Niederrhein Stadium, built in 1926, has been home to the traditional local football club S.C. Rot-Weiß Oberhausen (RWO) ever since it has been in the regional and national football leagues. In fact, the club had in its ranks Lothar Kobluhn who in one season (1971) became the leading goal scorer in the German Premier League. During this season (11/12), the Oberhausen football club will be playing in the third highest German league, the Third Federal League (3. Bundesliga).
By the way, the RWO offices are not to be found at the stadium but at Rechenacker 62, 46049 Oberhausen (Landwehr Stadium).
