Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue – the adventure begins!

Following its huge success in Dallas, Toronto and London, a recent opening in Herning, Denmark, and upcoming locations in Mexico City, Singapore and Chicago, fans in Germany will soon finally be able to immerse themselves in the (Over)World of Minecraft: On May 28, 2026, the acclaimed Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue at OBEX in Oberhausen.

The immersive live experience brings the game's digital world into reality, making visitors the heroes of a thrilling rescue mission. Iconic locations, characters, and creatures from the game come to life right before their eyes – without the need for a screen, keyboard, or mousepad.

With over 300 million copies sold, Minecraft is the best-selling video game of all time. Since 2009, gamers worldwide have been creating and exploring their own worlds from millions of blocks, gathering resources, building spectacular structures, embarking on adventures, and defending themselves against hostile creatures – the so-called mobs. Thanks to its open-world nature, diverse biomes, and various game modes, the game offers almost limitless possibilities for creativity, discovery, adventure, and teamwork. Ticket prices: from €19,50 per person in a family ticket (4-6 people, max. 2 adults), €20 for children (3-13 years) and €28 for adults (14+)

Opening hours: Tue & Wed: 10am – 5:30pm, Thu: 10am – 7:30pm; Fri: 10am – 6:30pm; Sat, Sun & Public Holidays: 9am – 7:30pm
