OLGA Park

On the occasion of the State Garden Show in 1999, the OLGA Park The approximately 26 hectare large, spacious site with its interesting bridge structures, tree harps and industrial flower fields is very popular with visitors as a local recreation area. The OLGA Park with two large children's playgrounds. Young visitors also have access to a variety of trendy sports. The historic mining house, the winding tower and the former gatehouse, all of which are listed buildings, are reminders of the former mining era. The building in the immediate vicinity of the CentrO and Gasometer Oberhausen The area is used especially in the summer months for open-air events and open-air concerts. These include major events with more than 30.000 visitors such as “Ruhr in Love” or  “Olga’s Rock”The two main entrances to the park are on Bottroper Straße and Vestische Straße.
