Aquapark Oberhausen
Im Aquapark Many details are reminiscent of the city's great coal and steel tradition. That is why the new water landscape next to the Marina Oberhausen is considered the world's first leisure pool with a mining ambience! Whether it's the 18-meter-high diving tower designed as a winding tower, or the up to 120-meter-long water slides - the Aquapark is all about "black gold", as coal used to be called here. Even the changing rooms are designed in the style of the old changing rooms in which miners prepared for their work shifts.
There is plenty of variety in the cool water: there are two pools with 25-meter lanes and a 300-square-meter outdoor area that can be reached through a replica mining tunnel. When the weather is nice, you can even visit the glass dome of the Aquaparks open up a little – a completely new experience even for experienced swimming pool fans!
