In just under two decades, the 450 square kilometer Emscher Landscape Park was developed from the heavily sprawled, fragmented and destroyed landscape along the Emscher due to mining and industry. If you want to know more about the regional park, visit the former historic manor house Haus Ripshorst in Oberhausen. The information center provides detailed information about the 85-kilometer-long special region between Duisburg and Hamm. The 15 important locations of the regional park, such as the Duisburg-Nord landscape park, are explained using the latest multimedia presentation technology. In addition, Haus Ripshorst In its wooded garden, it offers many opportunities for excursions and events on nature and environmental topics. There is also a bicycle station on site.
